Hi, I'm Andrea.
A little about me, the author of this blog...
I love books. I love to read. I like a good cup of coffee and a quiet place to indulge in these delights. I enjoy listening to podcasts and learning from fellow sojourners in the faith. I like to write with good ol' paper and pen. I like to learn, especially about the Bible, for they are the words of my heavenly Father.
I am a ponderer. My husband says that I like to "ponder as I wander." I love to sit down at a table with like-minded Christians, with our Bibles open and our hearts eager to engage in a discussion of the Scriptures. I want to understand the practical implications theology has on our everyday lives.
I am a wife of 27 years, a mom of two daughters, and a grandmother. I am an empty nester. I love my Lord. Without Him, life is meaningless. Seasons change. People change. Jobs change. Locations change. He never does.
I have always liked to write and have kept journals of my thoughts, prayers, and Bible study notes since I was a little girl. I am an aspiring writer, so I thought I would try my hand at blogging. I do not write in a vacuum; my articles are reviewed by my writing teacher, my pastor and godly friends in order to hold me accountable. In this age of information saturation, I believe this is crucial.
I hope my reflections are a source of encouragement for you and point you to our loving Creator and the good news of the gospel found in the Scriptures. No matter what season you are in, my prayer is that this blog helps us fix our eyes on Jesus (Hebrews 12:2).
Soli deo gloria.
~Andrea
